Onto bigger and brighter plans. We have started the process to hunt for our first home together *scream* In the next few weeks I'm hoping we can go under contract for a place because finally we feel we are ready. But we are not in any rush so we'll see how everything goes. I never owned a house before, but the hubby did own a condo back in the NL so at least one of us has done the whole home buying routine before. It terrifies me to bits and I keep watching hours of HGTV and reading resource after resource on the internet to learn as much as I can about the entire process. It has become somewhat of my new o.c.d haha At least the hubby is the more relaxed one and reminds me to have fun and remember to enjoy the experience :)
So that's the latest (major) news. Oh and in the spring I did sign-up for another running road race for later this month but I've been terrible with the training because of all the house hunting and lazy summer days/heatwave! But the few times I did go running, it has been the best way to reset and clear the mind. If I don't get to the race that's ok, at least my registration fee goes to a wonderful local charity. There's always the next race to train for!
Funny how with age I really am setting time to doing one thing at a time and not think or feel pressured to do everything all at once. I think in my 20s I wanted everything and right then and there, like with a relationship, a house, school, kids, career, hobbies, social life, etc. etc. Of course many of things came my way, but life also took some very odd turns. As the saying goes "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". It is so true, at least in my life.
