Mountain Films Galore!

We just came back from attending the Charlottesville leg of the 2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, a screening of several selected short films from this year's festival. There was a wonderful array of inspirational films that reflect mountain culture, from adrenaline sports to huge feats for seemingly ordinary people. This is a must attend for anyone interested in the outdoors and/or adventure sports. The festival was brought to us by the Banff Centre and locally sponsored by Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, our source for any and all outdoor gear and info for local mountain excursions. After tonight's festivities and seeing all this breathtaking scenery, I'm really looking forward to the few upcoming hikes that are planned for this Spring! We'll leave the mountain speed flying and free solo rock-climbing to the big screen ;)
